Abstract
This research starts with the study of the political participation of young individuals from the perspective of the frame analysis initially proposed by Goffman (1974). To analyze the meanings attributed by the social actors to this collective action, a modification to the stra-tegy proposed by Chihu (2004, 2007 y 2012) is presented. Said strategy has been designed to study the framework of collective action in social movements. The elements of the pro-posal are described through the presentation of the case of a young member of an “okupa” community. The usefulness of the toool presented for the study of political participation is discussed, from a social psychology point of view that includes the negotiation of meanings, the notion of agency, the expression of identity and the concept of moral career
