Abstract

This article analyzes the 2024 constitutional reform on the federal judiciary and its potential consequences. It analyzes the changes in the constitutional content, in accordance with the explanatory statement of the reform’s ruling. It also presents some examples from other countries where judges are elected and explains why electing judges is a bad idea.
